METRO SOLO

Season 1 rules

Every METRO SOLO rule in one place. Final for Season 1.

Format & conduct

  • Lobby opens: 21:40 MSK · 19:40 London · 14:40 New York The lobby opens 20 minutes before the start.
  • Start: 22:00 MSK · 20:00 London · 15:00 New York
  • Blue PJ Every registered player plays in the same default PJ skin: blue puffer jacket, yellow goggles, dark pants. Any other skin isn’t allowed for players: you’re kicked from the lobby and every missed game costs −20. Invited guest stars may play in any costume, and the host wears his own.
  • Lobby & breaks: voice yes, shooting no In the lobby before the game and in breaks between games, shooting is forbidden; only voice chat is allowed. During games every player is on his own team (a server setting), so there is no voice chat with other players.
  • Teaming: −20 per case Teaming up or making deals with other players costs −20 points per case. Stream sniping means disqualification from the season.
  • ~1 hour The tournament lasts about 1 hour.
  • 100 shield + 100 HP Everyone starts with 100 shield and 100 health.
  • Solo No teammates. Every player for themselves.
  • Metropolis Every game is played on Metropolis.
  • 5 games Points add up over 5 games. Most points wins.
  • One life No revives: go down and you wait for the next game.
  • Lobby of 24 20 player slots (selected by the organizer) + up to 3 invited guest stars + the host.
  • EU / US East The server alternates between Europe (EU) and US East.
  • $100 $100 to the winner, plus 🥄 $10 for last place.
  • Free Registration and entry cost nothing.

Registration & slots

  • Slots: 20 per tournament. Site registration is required: log in with Discord or Telegram and fill in your profile. Participants are selected by the organizer from site members who applied for the tournament, plus invited players.
  • Applying doesn't guarantee a slot. Your status (applied, invited, approved or declined) is shown on the site. If you've been selected and can't make it, give up your slot on the site so someone else can play.
  • One person, one account. Multi-accounting means disqualification of both accounts.

Kills & bonuses

  • Kill+2each
  • Guest star kill+9+2 kill and +7 star bonus
  • First blood+10first kill of the game
  • Knife / Cyber Blade+4melee kill: +4 on top of the +2
  • Damage+1per 200
  • Golden Magnum+20per kill, ×2 in Game 5
  • Revenge+3If player B knocked you out in game N and you kill B in the very next game (N+1), you get +3 on top of the normal kill points. Only the next game counts, once per pair per game. It is computed automatically from the kill feed; host kills do not count.
  • Multikill+3 / +6Two kills by the same player within 30 seconds (first to last kill) is a double kill: +3. Three kills within 30 seconds is a triple kill: +6. The triple replaces the double, so a 3-kill chain gives +6, not +9. Host kills don’t count. In game 5 the bonus is doubled like all points. It is computed automatically from the kill feed.

From Tournament 1 every Golden Magnum kill is worth +20 on top of the usual +2 for the kill. Game 5 doubles everything, so there it is +40 (+44 with the kill). In Tournament 0 it was +10.

The host

  • Host kill −50 penalty for killing Mafia.AI.Serge
  • Host in his own costume Mafia.AI.Serge plays in the lobby in his own costume (not the blue PJ). Killing him costs −50 points. He never takes a place: placements count players only.
  • Spoon hunters, the host is waiting 😈 The fastest way to the bottom goes through the host: every kill of Mafia.AI.Serge costs −50 (−100 in Game 5). So expect the last-place hunters to chase him all tournament long.

Game 5: points ×2

In game 5, the final game, all points are doubled: placement, kills, stars, first blood, knife, golden magnum, damage, revenge, and the host-kill penalty too (−50 becomes −100). So the win stays open until the last game.

Ties

  • Equal points in a tournament: more game wins (1st place in a game) go first, then more kills, then the better placement in Game 5.
  • Equal points in the season table: more tournament wins, then more kills, then the better Game 5 placement in the most recent tournament.

Crash or disconnect

  • Crashed or disconnected? You may rejoin. For the round where you dropped, you keep the points from the kill feed up to that moment: your kills and bonuses, and your placement as of when you dropped.
  • If the server goes down or there is a mass crash, that round is replayed. An individual crash follows the rejoin rule: kill-feed points up to the drop.

Late, missed games and quitting

  • Late or missed games: −20 points for each missed game. Game 5 counts ×2, so a missed Game 5 is −40; a whole missed tournament is at most −120.
  • A season player who doesn’t show up for a tournament gets −120 for it, then the normal elimination applies. Only the champion sitting out under the champion’s defence gets no penalty.
  • Quitting mid-season: −120 for every tournament until you’re eliminated.

Violations

  • Wrong skin Registered players may only wear the blue PJ (invited guest stars may play in any costume). Another skin gets you kicked from the lobby, and the games you miss are penalised: −20 each, Game 5 −40.
  • Stream sniping Disqualification: removed from the season, no re-registration this season.
  • Multi-accounting One person, one account. Multi-accounting means disqualification of both accounts.
  • Teaming −20 points per case.
  • Lobby & breaks Shooting is forbidden in the lobby before the game and in breaks between games; only voice chat is allowed. During games there is no voice chat with other players: every player is on his own team (a server setting).

Complaints & nickname changes

  • Complaints about results go through the complaints form within 24 hours after the tournament. The host’s decision is final.
  • Nickname change: your points are kept only if you warned us in advance through the complaints form (type “Nickname change”).

Champion’s defence

The winner of a tournament can’t play in the next one. His total score from that tournament “defends” for him: if nobody in the next tournament scores more, he gets 25% of the prize pool and the new winner gets 75% (currently $25 / $75 of $100). If the new winner scores more than the champion’s total, the winner takes 100%. It starts with Tournament 1: the winner of Tournament 1 defends in Tournament 2.

Season of 12 + Grand Final · Metro King

A season is 12 tournaments plus the Grand Final (Tournament 0 was a test and doesn’t count; the season starts at Tournament 1). Points from every tournament add up in the season table. The top 10 of the table after Tournament 12 play the Grand Final and automatically qualify for Season 2. The Grand Final winner gets $300 and the “Metro King” title: a crown on the profile and the season page. Guest stars and the host are not part of the season standings.

  • 12 tournaments (from Tournament 1), points add up.
  • The top 10 after Tournament 12 play the Grand Final; its winner gets $300 and the “Metro King” title.
  • After each tournament exactly 3 players with the lowest total are eliminated (none after Tournament 12).
  • Ties: more tournament wins, then more kills, then the better Game 5 placement in the most recent tournament.
  • Eliminated and disqualified players can’t register again for the rest of the season.
  • Each next tournament adds 3 newcomers: 3 new players admitted by the organizer who aren't in the season yet (they count once they actually play).
  • Newcomers start with 80% of the average total of the active players at that moment, rounded: average 400 → 320.
  • A champion sitting out keeps his points, scores 0 (no penalty) and is protected from elimination that round.
  • The winner of Tournament 12 has nothing special: no sit-out, the Grand Final follows.
  • The top 10 of the season table after Tournament 12 play the Grand Final and automatically qualify for Season 2.
  • Guest stars and the host are not in the season standings.
  • Miss a tournament and you get −120 for it (−20 per missed game, Game 5 −40), then the normal elimination applies. Quitting mid-season means −120 per tournament until you’re eliminated. Only the sitting-out champion gets no penalty.

Grand Final · Metro King

  • After Tournament 12 the season ends with the Grand Final (event 13). Only the top 10 of the season table play it.
  • 10 games, no guest stars, the same scoring rules. The last game (Game 10) counts ×2, like Game 5 in a regular tournament. The host penalty still applies.
  • Everyone starts the Grand Final from zero: season points only decide who gets in.
  • The Grand Final winner becomes Metro King and gets $300.
  • The season table decides who reaches the Final (top 10); those 10 also qualify automatically for Season 2. Elimination runs after Tournaments 1–11; nobody is eliminated after Tournament 12.

Prizes

  • 🥄 Last place: $10 The lowest total in each tournament’s table wins a $10 consolation prize, on top of the $100 winner prize. Only players who actually played count: the host and guest stars are excluded, and a no-show (−120 without playing) can’t win it. Tie for last: the normal tiebreak in reverse (fewer game wins, then fewer kills, then the worse Game 5 placement).
  • Spoon hunters, the host is waiting 😈 The fastest way to the bottom goes through the host: every kill of Mafia.AI.Serge costs −50 (−100 in Game 5). So expect the last-place hunters to chase him all tournament long.

Prizes are paid within 48 hours (the Metro King prize after the Grand Final), via PayPal or crypto. If neither works for the winner, we agree on another method.
