1. Organizer and Sponsor

METRO SOLO tournaments (the "Tournaments") are organized and sponsored by Metro Solo LLC, a Florida limited liability company (the "Organizer"). Until Metro Solo LLC is registered with the Florida Department of State, the Organizer is Sergey Khalyavin, operating as Metro Solo. From the date of registration, all rights and obligations of the Organizer under these Rules pass to Metro Solo LLC. Contact: the complaints form, Telegram @MetroSoloOfficialBot, or [email protected]. Mailing address: as listed for Metro Solo LLC with the Florida Division of Corporations (sunbiz.org).

The Tournaments are run on metrosolo.net (the "Site"). The host of the Tournaments is AI.SERGE.

METRO SOLO is a community tournament. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by BigBox VR or Meta. Population: One is a trademark of its respective owner.

2. Agreement to these Rules

By registering on the Site, applying for or playing in a Tournament, you agree to these Official Rules (the "Rules"), the Season 1 game rules published at metrosolo.net/en/rules/ (the "Game Rules"), and the Site's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The Game Rules (format, lobby settings, scoring, penalties, tiebreaks, season and Grand Final) are part of these Rules. If these Rules and the Game Rules conflict, these Rules prevail on eligibility, prizes, taxes, payments and legal terms, and the Game Rules prevail on gameplay and scoring.

3. Free entry

Registration, applications and participation are free. No entry fee, purchase, subscription or donation is required to enter, play or win. Donations to the project (see the Support page) are entirely voluntary. They do not affect a place in the lineup, seeding, scoring, rulings, eligibility or prizes, and donors receive no advantage of any kind. Prizes are paid in full regardless of whether any donations are received.

4. Game of skill

The Tournaments are contests of skill. Results are determined only by players' in-game performance under the Game Rules, scored from the in-game kill feed and match results. There are no random drawings for prizes. The Pick'em / predictions feature is "just for fun" (bragging rights and a badge) and carries no prizes.

5. Source of prizes

All prizes are paid only from the Organizer's own funds and/or funds contributed by sponsors who do not compete for the prizes. No part of any prize is made up of payments from participants.

6. Eligibility

6.1 Age. You must be at least 13 years old to register. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may play only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. Any prize you win is paid to that parent or guardian, who must accept these Rules and provide the required information and tax form. The Organizer may ask for proof of age and consent at any time.

6.2 Account. You must have a Site account (log in with Discord, Telegram, Google or email) with your Population: One nickname, country and city. One person, one account. Multi-accounting means disqualification of both accounts.

6.3 Lineup. Applying is not a guaranteed spot. The lineup is announced after applications close. If there are many applications, qualifiers may be held. Active streamers get priority. A confirmed player who cannot play should give up their place on the Site.

6.4 Not eligible for prizes:

(a) the host AI.SERGE, the Organizer, its members, managers, employees, contractors and moderators, and members of their immediate families and households;

(b) invited guest stars (they are not part of the standings);

(c) any person on the U.S. Treasury OFAC Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN) or any other U.S., UN, EU or UK sanctions list, or owned or controlled by such a person;

(d) any person who resides in, or is located in, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea region of Ukraine, or the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) or Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), or any other country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions at the time of the payout;

(e) residents of the Province of Quebec, Canada. They may play and appear in the standings but are not eligible to receive prizes (see Section 9.6);

(f) anyone for whom participation or receipt of a prize is prohibited by the laws of their country.

Players from other countries, including Russia and Belarus, may win prizes subject to Sections 6.4(c)–(d) and 10.

7. Schedule and format

Tournaments are held weekly on the dates and times published on the Site (the Site shows the start time in your time zone). Season 1 consists of 12 Tournaments (from Tournament 1) plus the Grand Final. Each Tournament is 5 solo games on Metropolis with the lobby settings published in the Game Rules. The Grand Final is 10 games for the top 10 of the season table. Format, scoring, penalties, ties, crash and disconnect rules, elimination, newcomers and the Champion's defence are as published in the Game Rules. The Organizer may postpone or replay games for technical reasons as set out in the Game Rules (for example, a server outage or mass crash).

8. Prizes (Season 1)

Grand Final: Metro KingUS $300 + "Metro King" titleWinner of the Grand Final

Approximate total prize value for Season 1: up to US $1,620 (12 × $110 + $300). Additional prizes, if any, will be announced on the Site before the Tournament they apply to, with a description and approximate value. Prizes are in U.S. dollars, are not transferable, and no substitution is allowed except at the Organizer's option for a prize of equal or greater value.

9. Winner verification and payout

9.1 Final results. Results become final after the 24-hour complaints window (Section 11) closes and any complaint is decided.

9.2 Required information. To receive a prize, a winner must provide within 14 days of the Organizer's request: legal name, country of residence, payout details (PayPal account or crypto wallet address), and, when the Organizer requests it, a tax form: IRS Form W-9 (U.S. persons) or IRS Form W-8BEN (non-U.S. individuals). The Organizer may also ask for reasonable proof of identity, age, residence and parental consent. A winner who does not respond in time, provides false information, or is found ineligible forfeits the prize. A forfeited prize may go to the next eligible player in the standings or be kept by the Organizer, at the Organizer's discretion.

9.3 Payout time and method. Prizes are paid within 48 hours after the Organizer receives the winner's tax form (and the other required information), and no later than 30 days. The Metro King prize is paid after the Grand Final. Payment is made through PayPal or cryptocurrency (USDT or USDC stablecoins, U.S. dollar value at the time of payment) to an account or wallet in the winner's own name or control. If neither works, the Organizer and the winner may agree on another lawful method. Winners in countries where PayPal cannot receive payments (for example, Russia and Belarus) are paid in USDT or USDC to a personal wallet. Payments are not made to, or through, sanctioned banks, exchanges or wallets.

9.4 Fees. The Organizer pays its own sending fees. Fees charged by the winner's PayPal, exchange or network to receive, convert or withdraw are the winner's responsibility.

9.5 Sanctions screening. Before payment, every winner is checked against the OFAC sanctions list. The Organizer will not make any payment that would violate U.S. sanctions or other applicable law, and such a prize is forfeited.

9.6 Quebec. Residents of Quebec are not eligible for prizes. If a Quebec resident finishes in a prize position, that prize goes to the next eligible player in the same table (for the last-place prize, the next-lowest eligible player).

10. Taxes

Each winner is solely responsible for all taxes on prizes, in the United States and in the winner's country. Prizes are paid in full as announced. The Organizer may request IRS Form W-9 (U.S. persons) or IRS Form W-8BEN (non-U.S. persons) from any winner before payment, and may file any tax information returns required by law (for example, Form 1099-MISC for U.S. winners, currently when one person's prizes from the Organizer reach US $2,000 or more in a calendar year). A winner who does not provide a requested form within the time set in Section 9.2 forfeits the prize.

11. Conduct, anti-cheat and disqualification

11.1 Cheats, hacks, modified clients, exploits, account sharing and multi-accounting are categorically forbidden. Every suspicious moment is reviewed in detail, including with AI tools, recordings and kill-feed data.

11.2 Penalties as published in the Game Rules (for example, teaming −20 per case, wrong skin, missed games). Stream sniping means disqualification from the season.

11.3 The Organizer may warn, penalize, remove from a lobby, or disqualify any player for cheating, teaming, stream sniping, multi-accounting, harassment, hate speech, threats, impersonation, tampering with the Site, giving false information, or any conduct that undermines fair play. Disqualified and eliminated players cannot register again for the rest of the season. A disqualified player forfeits all prizes for the affected Tournament(s), and any prize already paid may be reclaimed.

11.4 Complaints. Complaints about results must be filed through the complaints form within 24 hours after the Tournament. The host's decision is final on all gameplay, scoring and conduct matters.

12. Streams, recordings and publicity

12.1 Tournaments are streamed live and recorded. By playing, you agree that your nickname, avatar, in-game appearance, gameplay, statistics, voice in the lobby and in public channels, and chat messages may be broadcast, recorded, clipped and published by the Organizer (including on the Site, METROPOLIS TV, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Discord and Telegram) to broadcast, archive, promote and analyze the Tournaments. This is worldwide and royalty-free, with no further notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law.

12.2 Players may stream their own gameplay. Streams linked on the Site may be embedded on the Site (multi-cam, Videos) while you are in the Tournament lobby. You can unlink your channel at any time.

12.3 Winners' nicknames, countries and results may be published. Legal names, addresses and tax information are never published.

13. Release and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, by participating you release and hold harmless the Organizer, its members, managers, contractors, sponsors and the host from any claims, losses or damages arising from your participation, the Tournaments, the Site, or the receipt or use of a prize. The Organizer is not responsible for: game, server, platform, internet or device failures; actions of BigBox VR, Meta, Discord, Telegram, Google, PayPal, exchanges or blockchain networks; lost, delayed or mis-sent payments caused by incorrect details given by the winner; or errors in the Site's automatic scoring, which may be corrected. The Organizer's total liability to any participant is limited to the value of the prize actually won by that participant. Nothing in these Rules limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Cancellation and changes

The Organizer may change these Rules or the Game Rules, or postpone, modify, suspend or cancel any Tournament, if fair play, security, technical problems, or legal reasons require it. Changes are posted on the Site with a new "Last updated" date. Changes do not reduce a prize already announced for a Tournament once that Tournament has started, and do not apply retroactively to completed Tournaments.

15. Governing law and venue

These Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved only in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and participants consent to that venue. Disputes are resolved individually, not as a class action.

16. Privacy

Personal data is handled under the Site's Privacy Policy. Tax and identity information of winners is used only for payouts, legal compliance and record keeping.

17. Winners list

To request the list of winners of a Tournament, use the complaints form or the contact above within 60 days after that Tournament.

18. Severability; language

If any provision is held invalid, the rest remain in force. These Rules may be translated. The English version controls.
