What we collect
- Login data: your Discord, Telegram or Google account ID, display name and avatar; your email if you log in with email or Google.
- Profile: Population: One nickname, country, city, clan, streaming links. Public game statistics we fetch from public sources (for example, pop1stats.com: MMR, games, kills).
- Activity: tournament applications and results, chat messages, ideas and votes, Pick'em picks, complaints, nickname changes.
- Push notifications: your browser's push subscription, if you turn notifications on.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser data, and logs processed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security and delivery.
- Prize winners only: legal name, country, PayPal email or crypto wallet address, IRS Form W-9 or W-8BEN, and, if needed, proof of age, identity or parental consent.
What is public
Your nickname, avatar, country, city (shown on the player map at city level), clan, stats, results, player card, chat messages and stream links are visible to everyone. Legal names, emails, addresses and tax forms are never published.
How we use it
To run accounts, tournaments, scoring and the season table; to show live streams, statistics and the player map; to moderate and translate chat and ideas (including automatically with AI); to send notifications you asked for; to prevent cheating and abuse; to pay prizes, screen against sanctions lists and meet tax and legal obligations; and to improve and promote METRO SOLO.
Legal bases (EU/UK users): performance of our agreement with you (account, tournaments, prizes), legitimate interests (security, anti-cheat, promotion, statistics), legal obligation (tax, sanctions), and consent (push notifications).
Cookies and local storage
We use only what the Site needs to work. That means a secure login session cookie, short-lived security cookies during Discord or Google login, and a language cookie (`ms-lang`). Your browser's local storage keeps settings such as language, nickname, sound and notification choices. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
Who we share data with
Service providers that help us run the Site: Cloudflare (hosting, database, AI translation), Discord, Telegram and Google (login), YouTube and Twitch (embedded streams), PayPal and blockchain networks (payouts). We also share with the IRS or other authorities when the law requires, and with a buyer if the project is sold. We do not sell your personal data. Our servers and providers are in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, your data is processed in the U.S.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Tournament results and the archive are kept as part of the public history of METRO SOLO (after you delete your account they can stay under your nickname, or be anonymized on request). Prize and tax records are kept for at least 4 years, as U.S. tax law requires. Server logs are kept for a short time.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile, unlink streams and turn off notifications at any time. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and data, write to [email protected] or use the complaints form. We reply within 30 days. Records we must keep by law (taxes, sanctions screening) are retained. EU/UK users may also object, restrict processing, and complain to their local data protection authority.
Children
The Site is not for children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we delete it. Parents can contact us at [email protected].
